1. Bintan Island
Binta Island or Negeri Segantang Lada is an island in the Riau archipelago if Indonesia. It is part of the Riau Islands Province, the capital if which, Tanjungpinang, lies in the island's south and is the island's main community. Bintan's land area is 2,402.2 square kilometres (927.53sq mi) ( total area is 80,057) square kilometres (23,188) sq mi) including 96% sea area). It is administrative region is designated the Bintan Island Regency, one of the six administrative regions of the Riau Island province. The city of Tanjungpinang is an autonomous area within the Bintan Island. Bintan's history is traced to the dearly 3rd century. The island flourished as a trading post on the route between China and India, and over the centuries it came under the control of the Chinese, the British, and the the Dutch when it was declared part of the Dutch East Indies through-Dutch treatty of 1824.
In the 12th century, the Bintan island in the strait of Malacca was known as the "Pirate Island" since the Malay Pirates use to loot trading ships sailing in these waters.
Singapore, the closest major city, is a 45-50 minute trip by motorized catamaran across the Singapore strait from Bintan Resort area in the northwest of the island. 2. Balerang
Balerang Brige is a chain of 6 bridges of various types that connect the islands of Batam, Remapng, and Galang, an island, located 2,5 km South-East of Batam, 165.83 km belongi to a group of three islands called. 3. Penyengat Island
A small island situated across Tanjungpinang, capital of the Riau Islands Province, the island of penyengat in the 19th century was the twin-seat of the sultan of the Johor-Riau Kingdom.
